Uranus strikes
~ a poem ~

secrets on the wind
are blowing in
they reach first the fine hairs on my arms
soft electric tingles
gathering and crackling in the distance
and somehow already here
a sacred storm is brewing
everything is connected
i am the seed and the root and the leaf and the blossom
where does the thunder come from ?
shockwaves caused by lightning
a spark that bridges the gap between opposing forces
explosive light that cuts through the darkness
i feel it coming
from inside
a pulsing electrical charge
i am the violent expansion and contraction
the subsequent rumble
palpable desperation for rain
to cleanse, to neutralize
to soften
but my soul chose the role of the one who is always cracking open
crumbling, spilling out
reforming, shapeshifting, alchemizing
a spiral following time back into itself
descending, emerging
i was not born for stasis
